I am proud of you...

She found her heart in total bliss
as they made her the leader and boss
to build a new church at a place unknown!

Members contributed their mite,
some offered their savings free,
land was bought and ground prepared- but
no more monies from any member!

All, it seemed, have forgotten,
the leader and her great project,
she pledged her jewels, mortgaged land
the building came up stone by stone!

Some advised her to own the beatiful building
others said 'no way', as they contributed
a group asked her to get lost and suffer,
many had different plans and schemes!

Though her hard work of over a decade,
made her look worn out and sordid,
her heart and mind was so splendid,
that she smiled at all those views!

Thanked God she, for His mercy
in using decade of her life,
though unhealthy, for a noble cause
at the cost of her comforts!

Bishop came to know the truth,
and the fact of her pains,
rushed to the diocese
and made her free from all her debts!

Honoured they for all her labour
coupled with her zeal and work,
she handed over the building's key,
with full of grace and humility!

Heard a voice from above:
" I am proud of you my child,
do not expect praise from them,
as I am pleased with what you did"
